Call to Artists for Ideas
Arts Council is looking for artists to partner and collaborate with us to invigorate the Tannery Arts Center in 2018 and the Ebb & Flow River Arts Celebration in 2019.
This is a general call for ideas. We’ve just compiled information from two funders (Creative Work Fund and Hewlett 50 Arts Commissions) that give grants to deep and meaningful partnerships between an artist/artists and a non-profit organization.
- The Creative Work Fund is awarding 15-17 grants of $10,000 – $40,000 for Media Arts, and Performing Arts.
- The Hewlett 50 Arts Commissions provides grants of $100,000 – $200,000 for major new works of art in Theater, Musical Theater, and Spoken Word.
Arts Council Santa Cruz County would like to take the lead in applying for these grants with compatible artists who are interested in a fruitful partnership that 1) Enlivens the Tannery Arts Center as part of the new Tannery Community Plan and/or 2) Energizes our 2019 Ebb & Flow River Arts Celebration.
ELIGIBILITY: Individual artists or groups of artists are welcome to apply. Applicants must live in Santa Cruz County.
APPLY: If you’re interested in partnering with us, please email a short (one paragraph is fine) proposal to firstname.lastname@example.org. Please include artistic medium, general concept and a link to your website or recent past work. Ideas that are in the incubator stage are welcome. You are welcome to send us more than one idea for each project, and you can send ideas for both the Tannery project and Ebb & Flow. Please send one paragraph for each idea.
DEADLINE: 5pm November 1, 2017
