Exhibit at the Santa Cruz County Government Building.

Santa Cruz County artists and crafts people are invited to apply to exhibit in the Santa Cruz County Government Center at 701 Ocean Street, Santa Cruz. There is a $25 Application Fee and the application process is early December for the upcoming year. The applications will be reviewed by a panel and determined by mid-December.  Exhibits last approximately nine weeks (four exhibits per year). For more details, see the 2017 Call for Entries County Exhibits.

Support Arts Education through your Art Donation.

Hearts for the Arts is an annual fundraiser held at Artisans Gallery and we invite artists to donate a small piece of fine art or fine craft. This is a silent auction that offers the opportunity for your work to be displayed in downtown Santa Cruz for the first two weeks in early February and will be part of the February First Friday to boost exposure. You will be invited to an artist reception to soak up the appreciation and awe held for your art and to thank you for supporting Arts Education in Santa Cruz County through your art. All proceeds of this project will support Mariposa’s Art and SPECTRA teaching artists programs.  Donations are collected in January. For more information, please contact Ann Ostermann, Open Studios and Events Manager.

Participate in the Ebb & Flow River Arts Project.

Summer is a time of river revelry and there are numerous ways to participate. Artists are called to be a part of temporary and permanent art installations and artists, creators and all community members are encouraged to be a part of the kinetic art parade–this year it will be on June 3rd and we hope all will be a part of it. Click here for details about this year’s Ebb & Flow River Arts Project.

Apply to be an Open Studios Artist.

Visual artists of all disciplines, from seasoned creators to those just stepping into the art world are invited to apply to be a part of the Open Studios Art Tour. This beloved annual event takes place during the first three weekends in October and gives artists the unique opportunity to get their work and their creative process in front of hundreds of people. The guidelines have shifted to allow more artists to apply. In particular, to address housing and studio space challenges, artists now have expanded opportunities to be hosted at another participating artist studio and the application fee for artists under 25 has been waived. Check out the Open Studios pages for more details.
