Summer 2018 Grantees will be announced this week!

The fall application cycle will open Friday, August 3rd by noon. The deadline to submit your application will be Friday, September 14th, 2018 by 5pm. Please plan to apply early to avoid any technical difficulties as we are unable to accept late applications. Panel and Grants Committee reviews will take place October-November and announcements will be made in mid-December.

Grants Orientations are highly recommended for first-time applicants and those that have not applied recently:

  • Santa Cruz Grants Orientation: Tuesday, August 7th at 5pm at the Arts Council offices, 1070 River St.
  • Watsonville Grants Orientation: Thursday, August 9th at 6pm, location TBD.

For individual artists or groups, there are two grant opportunities available:

Create Grant Program – provides $1,000-$3,000 funding for public arts/cultural projects and events that involve the community within Santa Cruz County. Examples include mural projects, art exhibits, performances, cultural events, and more! Download the guidelines here.

Develop Grant Program – up to $1,000 for artists, dancers, musicians, poets, theatre performers, and more in Santa Cruz County for any kind of professional development. Examples include support for attending conferences, learning new skills, business consulting, tools/materials, and more! Download the guidelines here.

El Ciclo de Subvenciones de Otoño 2018 abre el 3 de agosto a las 12pm. La fecha limite para entregar la solicitud será el 14 de septiembre, 2018 a las 5pm.

Para individuos o grupos, hay dos becas que puede solicitar.

La primera es: Create Grant Program. Esta ofrece entre $1,000-$3,000 para arte y proyectos culturales públicos y eventos que involucran a la comunidad en el Condado de Santa Cruz. (Ejemplos: ¡murales, eventos culturales, y más!) Guia para Beca Proyectos Creativos

La segunda es: Develop Grant Program. Esta ofrece máximo $1,000 para artistas, bailarines, músicos, poetas, obras de teatro, etc., para el desarrollo profesional de artistas dentro del Condado de Santa Cruz. NOTA: estamos utilizando un nuevo sistema en linea para reciber solicitudes. Todos los usuarios deben crear un nuevo perfil y aplica alli. Recomendamos que todos los solicitantes planeen asisitir a una sesion de orientacion y prepararse temprano para evitar dificultades tecnicas. Puede completar la solicitud por internet o a mano.
