Carol Bennett studied watercolor painting while attending California State University at Long Beach. She moved to Santa Cruz County in 1980, and through the years has captured the beauty of our area in her landscape paintings. Carol has been a SPECTRA Artist since 2001. "I love teaching watercolor painting to children. All grades can have fun with it. My motto is to never run out of paper!" Carol is sole proprietor of Carol Bennett Design, a local award winning Graphic Design and Illustration business.

Beginning Watercolor

This Beginning Watercolor workshop is aligned with the California Content Standards for Visual and Performing Arts. All ages receive hands-on step-by-step instruction, and experience simple watercolor painting techniques. Students learn about shapes, color, texture, and some vocabulary. Each lesson ends with clean-up and simple critique. Lessons are presented in a sequence that gradually builds skill level and understanding. Lesson can also be designed to compliment class studies, budget, and time lines.
