Arts Education

We’re sparking the imaginations of more than 14,000 youth each year, engaging students through SPECTRA and Mariposa’s Art, and rallying support through the Santa Cruz County Alliance for Arts Education.

Bringing the arts to classrooms across the county, SPECTRA supports schools through SPECTRA Matching Grants, Artist Teacher Partnerships and the Teaching Artist Directory.

Mariposa’s Art

Youth learn to express themselves, problem-solve, innovate, think critically, and positively affect their communities through Mariposa’s Art. In after-school arts, music, and drama programs, high school students become leaders, mentors, and role models as they co-teach with Teaching Artists in local elementary and middle schools.
