Review Process

Grants applications are first reviewed and scored by volunteer grants panelists based on application responses and grants guidelines and criteria. Applications are then sorted in order of highest panel scores and utilized by the Arts Council’s Grants Committee to develop a funding recommendation. After the Arts Council’s Board of Directors reviews and approves the Grants Committee’s funding recommendation, Create and Develop grant awards for Spring applicants are announced in mid-July and for Fall applicants, in mid-December.

For more information about Arts Council grant opportunities, please contact Hannah Garcia, Grants Program Manager, 831-475-9600 x16 or hannah@artscouncilsc.org. We recommend all applicants plan to attend an orientation session and apply early to avoid technical difficulties.
